PETAA (Primary English Teaching Association Australia) & Dr Amanda Lloyd present "Developing literacy through nature and story play in outdoor learning"

Date: Tuesday, 30 April 2019.

Developing literacy through nature and story play, provides teachers with an opportunity to engage with English curriculum activities. The course is completed outdoors at the Australian Botanic Garden and the activities are designed to enable teachers to experience nature pedagogy, within literacy building activities, for themselves.

Speaking 4 The Planet Competition

Back again after last year’s success at the Australian Botanic Garden, 4Sustainability Education and four South West Sydney councils are inviting high schools in Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly local government areas to join us for the regional Speaking 4 the Planet competition.

Date: Friday, 7 June 2019

This competition celebrates World Environment Day and this year's theme of 'Air Pollution'. It links environmental issues with the arts, and there are four categories:

  1. Art
  2. Drama
  3. Public speaking
  4. Video

This event is free for schools, but registration is essential.
