PlantBank Open Weekends throughout Autumn

From Saturday 4th March, everyone is welcome to come inside on the weekend and see where our seed science happens.

The Australian PlantBank is home to the NSW seed vault where seeds from more than 5,000 species are safely stored.

As a visitor you can:

  • Look into the seed processing labs, tissue culture room and growing areas
  • Enjoy interpretive displays and stunning architecture
  • Book into a free guided tour with our volunteer guides
  • Buy a coffee from the Melaleuca House Coffee Cart
  • See a lichen garden growing on historic sandstone
  • Meet a scientist every Saturday at 11am-1pm
