Harmony Day

Harmony Week celebrates inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians.

We are taking the time to reflect on Australian multiculturalism, and recognise the stories of our first nation's and immigrant's history.

Funded through a Community Resilience grant, Botanic Garden & Centennial Parkland's Community Greening Programs aim to build strong, resilient and cohesive communities.

The free community event Sow and Share will present their amazing work creating community gardens.

The event will be set up on Lakeside Lawn and will include a number of stalls where you can learn about gardening and local community work.

Stalls will include:

  • Gardening tips from our Community Greening team
  • Seed Science with our PlantBank scientists
  • Nature Play activities with our education team
  • Bush tucker presentation with our Aboriginal education team
  • Sustainability stalls
  • Market stalls
  • Food stalls
Please register for the event.
