Literacy & Nature Play Teacher PD with PETAA

Developing literacy through nature and story play, provides teachers with an opportunity to engage with English curriculum activities.

The course is conducted in an outdoor environment and the activities are completed to enable teachers to experience nature pedagogy within literacy building activities for themselves. Teaching strategies for outdoor learning will be modelled throughout the course, with the aim that teachers can replicate these in their own settings. There is an introductory facilitated discussion to explore curriculum content, a best practice English outdoors session, collaborative programming activities and a reflection in the form of poetry.

Presented by Dr Amanda Lloyd in partnership with the Primary English Teaching Association Australia.
