Project aims
Investigate chemical and biological control methods to prevent the spread of wood decay fungi (Ganoderma sp. and Phellinus sp.) after resistograph drilling.
Project Summary
Resistograph drilling is commonly used in Arboriculture to investigate the extent of decay within living trees. There is concern that resistograph drilling can breach containment zones within an infected tree, spreading the pathogen into healthy tissue. This study tests if the fungicide Propiconazole and the biocontrol agent Trichoderma can prevent post resistograph spread of the wood decay fungi Ganoderma sp. and Phellinus sp.
