Exhibition FAQ

Here are some questions we are commonly asked about holding exhibitions at The Australian PlantBank.

You are welcome to sell your artwork during the exhibition and, no, we do not charge a commission on any sales.

If you wish to use the phone line to operate an EFTPOS terminal, a line rental fee is applicable.
We will provide you with 14 exhibition panels, 40 wires (2m long), 150 hooks, two (2) trestle tables and two (2) chairs.
We will supply you with 150 hooks and 40 wires you can use to hang your artwork.
Unfortunately, no. The panels are part of the PlantBank building and cannot be removed.
Access to the PlantBank is via an access card. The venue access card can be collected from reception during the week and from the Garden rangers on weekends.
No. The venue access card must be returned to either reception (Monday through Friday) or the Garden ranger (Saturday and Sunday) at the end of each day.
Yes. We will provide you with a key to unlock the windows along with your venue access card.

Please ensure the windows are closed and locked at the end of each day.
The Undercroft is available for hire. Additional fees will apply.
Yes, however approval must be sought in advance.

No additional charges will apply of your opening function is held inside of the Garden's opening hours. If your function extends past these times, additional fees and security charges will apply.
Alcohol can be served during your opening function, but it cannot be sold. Only RSA-qualified persons can serve alcohol and their relevant certificates must be provided to the trust in advance.

Further information will be provided in the booking agreement.
Parking is available in the P2 car park, directly out the front of the PlantBank. Additional parking is located in the P3 car park near the Visitor Centre, a short walk away.
Yes. A tap can be found in the kitchenette.
