The Garden's natural beauty is the perfect back drop for family or portrait photography sessions. Professional photographers are encouraged to use the Garden, but please be sure to apply for your permit as portraiture/family photography within the Gardens are considered a commercial activity.
Note: there is a fee for the permit which is payable by the photographer.
Click the Family/Portrait Photography button below to apply for the permit.
The Garden has been the backdrop for many fashion, car and homewares shoots as well as filming for shows like Stan's "The Commons".
But your shoot doesn't need to be as big as this to be classified as commercial. If you wish to use the Garden, even for some simple Instagram shots to promote your business, your shoot is commercial (you are using the images to make money by promoting your business) and therefore you will need a permit.
